To celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2017, Ferrari commissioned 70 heritage liveries via its Centro Stile and Tailor Made programme. Each colour scheme and corresponding interior treatment was applied to a single example of the five models in the range at the time—the California T, 488 GTB, 488 Spider, GTC4Lusso, and F12berlinetta—creating a limited run of 350 celebratory cars.

Maranello’s designers drew directly from company archives to accurately reproduce the original specifications, with the liveries representing some of the most beautiful and memorable Ferraris ever built, both for the road and for competition. These ranged 1947 to 2017, from motorsport legends such as the 290 MM that Juan Miguel Fangio drove in the 1956 Mille Miglia, to pop culture icons including the classic red-over-tan 308 GTS driven by investigator Thomas Magnum in the hit 1980s television series Magnum, P.I.. Each car came with a special 70th-anniversary commemorative exterior logo and an identification plate in the cabin with the name of the model that inspired the design.

The F12berlinetta presented here was delivered in August 2017 through Alfred Gohm GmbH, the official Ferrari dealer in Böblingen, Germany. It is one of only five Ferraris and the sole F12berlinetta executed in the 44th heritage livery to be released, inspired by the company’s 312 B Formula 1 racer. Introduced in the early 1970s and piloted to victory several times by Jacky Ickx, the 312 B was the first to feature Ferrari’s Tipo 001 flat-12 engine. Mimicking its iconic livery, this one-of-one Tailor Made F12berlinetta 70th Anniversary edition is finished in Rosso Corsa with Avus Bianco front spoiler, mirror caps, and racing stripes. Other special exterior details include 20-inch forged painted wheels, lower trim components in matte black, and black anodised tailpipe tips, while 70th Anniversary logos and airbrushed shields adorn the wings.

The Nero leather interior features unique Tailor Made upholstery in Kvadrat Gloss red, which trims the central part of the seats, door panels, door armrests, lower dashboard, and rear luggage shelf. The aluminium footboards are in Matte Grigio Corsa, while carbon fibre elements feature a matte finish. A Tailor Made 70th Anniversary plaque is located on the rear bulkhead between the seats.

Additional options include size-large carbon fibre racing seats, kick plates in carbon fibre, contrast stitching and embroidered Cavallino headrest logos in Rosso, electrochromic mirrors, cruise control, carbon fibre cupholders, adaptive front lighting system, parking cameras, passenger display, privacy rear windows, leather headliner, parcel shelf, and lower dash, tyre pressure-monitoring kit, and high power hi-fi system.

Displaying only 932 kilometres at cataloguing time, this unique Tailor Made 70th Anniversary F12berlinetta is now offered with its Ferrari Classiche “Red Book”, having secured certification in July 2017. Presented in a quintessential Ferrari livery and being one of the most exclusive offerings of its era, it will surely remain among the most collectible and coveted F12berlinettas ever produced.
