Designed as a gesture to friends, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 ‘Nocturne’ occupies a particularly luminous place in the marque’s storied history. Conceived as part of a limited trilogy unveiled at the 2009 Dubai International Motor Show, alongside the one-off Veyron ‘Sang d’Argent’ and Grand Sport ‘Soleil de Nuit’, the Nocturne was created to celebrate both Bugatti’s centenary and its distinguished partners in the Middle East. Of this trio of commemorative models, the Nocturne was the grandest expression and limited to just five examples, all built for the region.

The Veyron ‘Nocturne’ stands out for its bold mix of materials, with a sweeping division of mirror-finished aluminium and deep, uni-black panels. For the first time Bugatti used galvanised side window frames that extend the polished body line all the way to the rear, giving the car an elongated sense of poise. The bonnet, also clad in polished aluminium, continues this contrast, while special polished alloy wheels complete its commanding stance. Inside, Bugatti’s designers put on a masterclass of modern minimalism with artisanal precision. The dashboard, finished in black nano-coated magnesium, offers both confidence and sophistication while the centre console, crafted in galvanised platinum, anchors the cockpit with a futuristic sheen.

While its visual theatre is showstopping, beneath the gleaming surfaces lies the same magnificent 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged W16 engine that made the Veyron the most extraordinary performance car of its era. Developing 1,001 PS, the ‘Nocturne’ remains capable of reaching 100 km/h in a scarcely believable 2.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 400 km/h. Even amid its opulent presentation, Bugatti never allowed performance to become secondary to design; rather, the ‘Nocturne’ celebrates the harmony of both.

The Veyron ‘Nocturne’ offered here holds particular distinction within the limited series. Delivered new as intended to the Middle East, it has led a cherished life of sparing use, showing just 4,219 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. Cloaked in a full paint-protection film, it is offered with a collection of accessories, including a battery charger, car cover, speed key, and owner’s manual with service book. A bold tribute to some of Bugatti’s most valued clientele, this Veyron ‘Nocturne’ presents a rare opportunity to acquire a hypercar of monumental capability and significance.
