Famed performance tuner and restorer Brabus, based in the German region of Ruhr, has been most associated over the past half a century with its work enhancing the entire spectrum of Mercedes-Benz models. At one end of the size scale, it has turned its hand to evolving the diminutive Smart ForTwo city car. At the other, Brabus has continually reworked the enduring Geländewagen off-road icon.

As the first-generation G-Class neared the end of production, Mercedes-Benz delivered its own extreme take in the form of the G 63 AMG 6x6 of 2013. The addition of an extra set of driven wheels to a platform that employed three portal axles, plus a pickup truck-style bed, required an extended frame that added more than a metre to the total length of the vehicle. Also gaining a significantly raised ride height to sit well over two metres tall, the result was one of most imposing road-legal creations anywhere in the world.

Approximately only 100 factory examples were made, including the car offered here, which was completed in May 2015. Specified in the metallic shade of Obsidian Black over a Black Designo leather interior, it was equipped with rear entertainment screens, a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system, a rear-view camera, heated seats front and rear, an AMG performance steering wheel, and carbon trim.

Taking this already-radical base car, Brabus sought to add its own flourishes by offering a G700 upgrade. Per the accompanying copy of the Certificate of Genuinity issued by Brabus Middle East, this G 63 was treated to the PowerXtra B40-700 performance kit. As a result of the upgraded processor-driven auxiliary module for the engine control unit, the twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V-8 is rated (as the name suggests) at a mighty 700 horsepower to mark an increase of 115 horsepower. Similarly, torque has risen from 627 to 701 pound-feet. Mated to a seven-speed AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, the motor then exhales through a new switchable, valved exhaust system.

The Brabus makeover also stretched to the installation of a new front bumper, side steps, and carbon fibre engine cover, roof LEDs and signal flares, plus the fitment of Brabus badging. Meanwhile, the interior was reupholstered in Brabus Fine Leather. Accordingly, the cabin is now awash with black quilted hide with red accents and stitching, while Brabus logos have been embroidered into the headrests and floormats.

Equipped with an onboard tyre inflation/deflation system controlled by overhead switches, trick Öhlins dampers, and wearing a set of 18-inch Hutchinson bead lock wheels shod in chunky off-road tyres, this outlandish take on the famed Geländewagen is further supplied with its owner’s guides in their folio in addition to its Brabus certificate. It benefits from an October 2025 engine oil change completed in Dubai by ABD Auto Services (invoice available to view on file) and displayed only 6,459 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.

Few automobiles anywhere in the world would make such a statement as this six-wheeled colossus by Brabus. Whether prowling the city streets or conquering challenging terrain, this G-Wagen is guaranteed to cause a stir wherever it is driven or displayed.
